I'm using Maxthon web browser and it has built-in translation menu (Tools -> Translations & Service) for using several online translation services. So i've found that Babelfish is correct enough for understanding the normal russian text having been translated to English. Except some constructions such as "stremnye situations" :-)

Babelfish is certainly one of the best, if not THE best, free translation service out there. However, it wont pass the "Turing Test" and still calls for manual tinkering. Maxthon? I'll have to take a peak at that. Thanks!
